Alton is a large and well built village, which lies on the east of the Churnet valley in the county of Staffordshire in England.

There are many public houses in the village including the Royal Oak, the Bridge House, the Lord Shrewsbury, the White Hart, the Bulls Head, the Talbot and others.

The village of Alton is located in the beautiful countryside of England with pleasant walks available in the woodlands of Dimmingsdale and the Churnet valley.

The historic churches, excellent accommodation facilities and local attractions add to the beauty of the area.

The village has a population of around 2,390 in an area of seven thousand acres which is divided into 4 townships.

This picture postcard village, which is situated in the Moorlands of Staffordshire, is a nice place to spend a relaxing time with the family.
